Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the app: Account & Identity. Email/name (if you create an account or sign in), Apple receipt identifiers, Firebase Authentication UID. App Content. Data you add (e.g., notes, measurements, photos). Device & Usage. Device model, OS version, app version, interactions, approximate region, push token. Diagnostics. Crash logs and performance data (Firebase Crashlytics/Performance). Purchase Data. Product IDs, receipts, subscription status from Apple to validate purchases. We do not see your full payment card.

Sharing

We share data with service providers who help us operate the app: Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime DB/Storage, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics/Google Analytics for Firebase, Remote Config). Apple (In-App Purchase, subscriptions). These providers process data on our behalf under their terms and data-protection agreements. We don't sell personal data.

Leaderboard and Data Sharing

Our app includes an optional global leaderboard feature that allows you to see how your pet's activity compares with other pets in the community.

What Information is Shared

When you use the leaderboard feature, the following information about your pet may be uploaded to our servers and displayed publicly:

• Pet's activity score (calculated from tracked activities like walks, playtime, and training sessions)
• Pet's age group (Puppy, Young Adult, Adult, or Senior)
• Pet's breed (if provided)
• Display name (see "Your Privacy Choices" below)

Your Privacy Choices

• By default, your pet appears anonymously on the leaderboard with a randomly generated identifier (e.g., "Pet #12345"). Your pet's real name is NOT shared with other users unless you explicitly choose to do so.
• You can choose to display your pet's real name by enabling the "Share My Pet Names" option in the app's Settings. When enabled, your pet will appear on the leaderboard with their actual name (e.g., "Goose") instead of the anonymous identifier.
• You can view your own pets on the leaderboard regardless of your privacy settings - you'll always see their real names for your own reference.

How the Information is Used

• Leaderboard scores are used solely to create a fun, community-driven experience where pet owners can celebrate their pets' activities and compare progress with others.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your pet's information with third parties for marketing purposes.
• All leaderboard data is stored securely on our servers and is only visible to users within the app's leaderboard feature.

Your Control

• You can change your pet name visibility setting at any time in the app's Settings.
• If you choose to stop using the leaderboard feature, your pet's scores will no longer be displayed publicly.
• All leaderboard participation is optional and does not affect your ability to use the core features of the app.

Data Retention

Leaderboard scores are retained on a monthly basis to allow historical comparisons and tracking. Historical scores remain associated with your pet's anonymous ID or real name (based on your privacy setting at the time).
